The Origin

Hi, I’m Alana — a full-time nurse; turned-homeschooling mama to three, with a heart for wellness, simplicity, practicality, and stewardship. I created Modest Linen Co. to offer women an honest and wholesome alternative to the world of synthetic intimates.

Like many, I grew frustrated trying to find natural and healthy bras made without harmful chemicals (PFAs), plastics, and artificial fabrics/fibers. As I have learned about the effects of synthetic materials against the body, I’ve discovered the unique benefits of linen: a high frequency fabric that is not only revered for its healing support, but also is a symbol of purity and righteousness in the Bible.

That’s where Modest Linen Co. began.

I personally work on every single order as if working unto the Lord. Each pair of linen inserts are measured, cut, sewn, ironed, and packaged with purpose, all by hand, in small batches. I have the help of my husband with many behind-the-scenes tasks and I do not know what I would do without him! I pray over each order, and include an info sheet, that speaks to the heart behind this shop.
